Blood on the Risers
To what are we referring, I’m still waking up.
(I mean, what is Blood on the Risers?)
They’re all old US songs:
Yankee Doodle is one of the US Army’s oldest marching songs, originally a British song ridiculing Americans, then adapted by the Americans while they chased the British forces out of America.
Captain Jack tells the story of a Native American chief and his fight against American soldiers to stay on his land.
Blood on the Risers is an old US paratrooper song from WW2.
Yankee Doodle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwHvyqNDUvE (Again a modern, not marching version. Couldn’t find a better one)
Captain Jack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skx1bSxiw0k (didn’t find an older version…)
Blood on the Risers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWgsdexkv18
EDIT: I found a more march-like version of the Yankee Doodle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpHaxw4WzuE&feature=related
Sadly it isn’t the full song…
Uhm, who would want to read the answer of a mid-30 husband with kid to this?
It’s you young folks to discover your final sexual orientation and to trial and error!
Hahahahaha, just hope your wife never reads this thread
And you forgot to answer again…
…man, I love Blood upon the Risers! Sousa tunes are always very nice.
Give us your ABC then
You might also want to try “Abgestuerzt aus 1000 Metern”, which is pretty much a German equivalent to “Blood on the Risers”
(theme-wise, it has a different melody)
Well since no one else will
