It will not be a game you are a fool to believe that this would not become a soapbox for unsavoury types. Who do you suggest might do a convincing job of supporting the Axis side, in any debate we might have?

It wont be a member of Amnesty now will it?

why was it even suggested that there be an “allied” “axis” name tag on each of the teams, debates generally are called “for” and “against” anything else is rather absurd!

equally I doubt any of those members supporting the idea of debate fully understand how to word a propostion, repsonse, 2nd, retorte, Summing up, and conclusion, anyway. (I made up those terms because I for one wouldnt know how they are meant to work)

It would not be “amusing or fun” it would be a jumping off point for all sorts of wierdos.

If they arent here already - wierdo’s not Nazis’s Im aware that some poeple here have no Idea what Nazism was and merely see it as an army not a political phenomenon - we want to avoid the debate because we are not equipped to win a flame war over the subject.

We would just be in an Axis team as Erwin said, its harmless like playing a Pc game being the Germans and the manager of each team could pick peticular people or even a certain ammount of posts, and if you want people can be kicked if they seem to be depicted as nazis. :smiley: :smiley:

You dont understand, People will choose to come here specifically because htey are pro-Nazi. The Mods and users of this forum (as a whole) are not capable of arguing against intelligent dedicated Fascists or Nazi followeers, giving this opportunity and stage would be pointless. Grow up and play computer games but dont presume that all users of the interent are pre-pubescent - Like your ideas appear to be.

Erwin, read the posts.

You do only think of things in a very childlike and basic way.

You see the army but not the political will behind it.

Whilst it is not wrong to admire the uniforms and even the actions of the men. Debating the rights and wrongs of the axis coarse on the other hand without some very strict moderation could as suggested lead to some very dire consequences.

We have already seen the results of a very coarse system of grooming, ie your countries schools, on you. What if a modern Nazi came in to the forum…

He likes what you like, has an encyclopedic knowledge of divisions and insignia of the German army. Supports your countries claims to the Falklands. Stands up to your nay sayers on the site. But all the while grooms and gives subtle little advice.

You wouldn’t see it, you wouldn’t feel it. You are extremly vulnerable.

Looking at the how old are you thread there are some very young people on this site, the posts above have their interests at heart.

I partially agree with Erwin here - the discussion is not relevant to the thread. However, I think the discussion has merit, in that it is reasoned debate on a suggestion made about improving the site. Unless someone objects, I will shortly (in half an hour or so, maybe) attempt to split the thread so that the suggestions remain, whilst the debate relating to one specific suggestion is preserved in a separate thread. Apologies if I horribly mutilate the post while attempting this.

well, i know a bit about the german army, and its divisions, but i’m not national socialist.

anyway, i think this axis vs allies is a bad idea. Whats the point? what would they argue about?
