German camouflage patterns

A officer I made with the camo.

If you follow the link you can find what you’re looking to buy there http://www.zeugmeisterei.com/cms/en/index.php?pageid=545&nr=0d6d698d99a591358d3be86cbe8bbbf6

Still in use today (in modified versions) with some armies (Danmark for example): the eichentarn muster (oak leaf pattern)
On the picture you see the summer version on the left and the autumn to the right.

Funny invention, imi! Just read this thread last night! Good idea but surely improvable.

So I suppose these pictures will shock you

They were taken somewhere in Czechoslovakia (1945)

As for camouflage patterns, here are my favourites (look at the guy with a bike) Leiber and Milano M29 (Telo Mimetico). Splitter would be the 3rd.

And a couple of stills from a Soviet post war film “Liberation”

Is military service voluntary or compulsary in Romania? Just curious.

Right about that. The Swiss Army camo is quite similar to the german late-war “Leiber” pattern:

The Austrian Army however uses a camo pattern similar to the Waffen-SS pea-dot pattern:

Here is a pic of a very impressive collection of the elusive SS covers. Wish I could find an original one…

I just wanted to say the pics of the surrendering Germans was interesting for the camo patterns, but I always look for the awards they have also on them and how long they got to keep them. Wonder where they are now. I have a few myself in my collection, mostly from old vets who took them while processing prisoners in the European campaign. Nice pics.

The “Leibermeister” pattern is indeed the same as the old Swiss uniform, but that was replaced guess how many years ago with TAZ90:

No it doesn’t.
The pattern you have shown, Kampfanzug M57 (Tarnanzug,) was introduced in 1957 and is only similar to the 44 pea-pattern in that some of the shapes are vaguely round.
It was replaced in 1975 by an OD uniform, Kampfanzug M75.
The latest uniform, Kampfanzug 03, is in RAL 7013 braungrau and has been in use since 2003.

A prototype camouflage pattern produced for the Future Soldier 08 programme is shown below.
As far as I know it has not been given official approval.

I was going to buy a WH cap soon, and I can’t really decide between Splittermuster and Sumpftarn. What do you guys think?

Also, I found a Tropical Cap for the WH - It pretty much looks somewhat like the standard issue cap of the marines in the pacific campaign. I’ll look if I can find a picture of it, it’s from a German Bundeswehr-supplier’s catalog (Name is Ranger Shop)

EDIT: Found them:
These are the two I have to choose between:
