ok…
Does anyone know of other information regarding this tank. I am looking for any pictures that shows the top of the turret. How the turret is modified to install the commanders cupola. Was the loading hatch sealed or was the cupola installed to allow it to open. What happened to the periscope.
To modify and build a model
Number 742 w/ commanders cupola from German PzKpfw III/IV

Thanks
he almost looks new …
We have already seen this photos Ydstare.
The Nickdfresh published it in the one of the his thread last year;)
This cuptured tank was keeped under 6 metters layer of silt.
therefor it looks so good.
Cheers.
That reminds me of how in Saving Private Ryan the “Tigers” were dressed-up T-34s.
Well, it’s always good to recap.
Anyone know what happened to this tank after it was pulled up?
It was dressed-up T-44 actually
The ugly parody of Tiger in SPR was resault of the rebuilding of the T-44. The Chassi of t-44 is well realized in both of “Tigers” in this film.
Posted long time ago, but yes a good story. Almost 2 years ago to the day.

A picture of the T-34 used as recovery vehicle, bergepanzer T-34 (r)
Check out the commanders cupola in post #3, (from a Panzer 4?) It is obvious the Germans rejected the front hinging cover that exposed the unfortunate Russian commanders.
That front hinged hatch… it´s difficult to see how the designers came up with something so profoundly NOT user friendly. The only I can imagine is that they wanted the commander to stay below armour (where his view was limited by inadequate vision devices) at all times.
T-34 turrets on railroad cars was mentioned. Can anybody suppky a picture of such a thing?
Very interesting, something I didn’t know about.
here’s a link with armored trains:

also, a finnish captured T-34.
What is the anti-aircraft tank ? looks like a bofor cannon
It´s Landsverk L-182 Anti, called ItPsv-40 by the Finns. They purchased 6 and they were in use from about spring 1942 to 1960.
It´s in family with the Hungarian Nimrod.
The “Anti” name is for both anti aircraft and anti tank, which was viable when it was designed, but tank armour soon outgrew the AT capabilities of this weapon.
And yes it has a Bofors 40mm gun.
