Panzerknacker`s gallery.

I was there around four years ago but i think these guys were positioned different, i walked in to a dark room at the back of the museum then looked to my side and saw these guys, didn’t expect it and got one hell of a fright.

Which barrel is Argie and which is Brazilian?

The stock and action/lock is mad ein Brazil, the barrels in Argentina.

Must’ve missed this post somehow!

Would this be legal in Argentinia? Poor birdie, I’d buy it all the figs it wants.

It is, the green parrot, golden dove, common dove, blackbird and spotted wing pigeon are pest in my province and hunted all year around with no season and no limitations.

You must have very small and docile pigs in Argentina. I’ve shot a few wild pigs.

Any military calibre around .303 will drop our feral pigs and civilian calibres down to .270 or even
.243 will usually work, but a .22 LR or even .22 magnum, even hollow point jacketed, is more likely just to encourage an angry wounded pig to shove a tusk up your arse and then grind you into the ground.

I am not talking about wild pigs but the butchery pig, the pistol is used in the slaughterhouse for headshots instead a compressed air hammer, is far more humane.

There are wild pigs in my province and yes they are really tough as you say. Thye are usually hunter with 300 wm, 308 or shotgun slug.

I think they had a casting for “A night in the Museum”

Very possible, it’s a good excuse for the next time i tell someone. Better than “The statue scared me”

The japanese armors are quite interesting but definately lacks the beauty and strenght of the central european armor.

Interesting. I take the other view: I’ve always found the Japanese Armour to be far more visually attractive than the European. Some of the European Armour, such as a couple of the “Maximillian” Suits are very attractive to look at, but My preference is by far for the Japanese Armour: it is lighter, more protective, and better looking. It is also possible (though not recommended) to swim in the Japanese Armour, whereas the European Knight will drown if he attempts swimming in his heavy plate armour.

Maybe ; I am heavily influenced by my work wich is to shape metals, then I seriously admire the medieval craftmen whom created those fine steel armors in europe without the help of modern machines, simply with heat a hammer amd chisel.

At the same The japanese abilities to work that neat combination of steel and iron in his classical cuved swords is superior to any blade produced in Europe in the dark ages.

My friend, I think we both respect eachother’s views here.
As a child, I found European Armour to be very interesting, precisely because of the point you make: formed with heat, hammer, shaping-block, and done not only as science or engineering, but as an art unto itself.

When I began studying Kendo, I took up studying the associated Armour and Swords, (along with various other weapons) and slowly became convinced that the Europeans had not found the “only valid path” as regard to the construction of Armour or weapons.
Regarding the Katana, I can tell you I have weilded several, over the years, including a couple that were each worth millions of US Dollars, and I’m firmly of the opinion that no finer sword could be found, nor made, given the same materials.

My instinct is that had I a similar profession to your own, I’d have a remarkably similar view to yours.

New airgun to the collection: Hatsan 88 cal 5,5mm ( 22) muzzle velocity with 16 grains ( 1 gram) pellets 810 fps ( 243 mps). Muzzle energy 26,5 joules, more than enough for small game. Sinthetic stock, equipped with a very fine trigger, actually a turkish variant of the teutonic Rekord used in the expensive Weirauch family.

Merely 200 euros and 60 euros more for the 4x32 scope ( not installed) an unbeatable price/power ratio.

Varmints beware.

you are the man my friend!

I know, I know, thanks.

Light Flak:

Last sunday I managed to get close to a 20mm gun inside an air force base, the weapon is used mostly for training purposes but is in very good shape. blueing for example in in mint condition, the cannon is marked Oerlikon-Buhrle M1957. The weapon apparently is gas operated (note the small tube below the first section of the barrel) rate of fire is quoted as 1000 rpm, althought the drum magazine only contains 60 rounds of 20x139mm ammunition

Like the cars. Do you know the sports track Laguna Seca/Mazda Racway? Sports car , Moto GP, Indy Cars and classic car races are held there. It’s just a few miles away and has a great rifle and pistol range too.
Pura Vida from Costa Rica.
…MJ…

My latest adquisition in the knife section, Muela Machete solid piece made in Spain.

Can you love steel ? I say YES, I love this blade!!"
