In the FI the Milans were used to rattle the parapet of the en psns, but the snpr cse is being promoted as they are astouning force multipliers. I will delve into the reasons, but I imagine it was just time for an upgrade. Remember other wpns have also been fielded.
It is a flatter shooting rd so engagements up and down the khuds are slightly easier - or perhaps quicker - to take, but JD and the airtemp changes in the reigon make it all more of a challenge at decent ranges.
Didn’t see the programme, but until fairly recently there was no MoD funding whatsoever for the plt, so all specialist kit had to be obtained by the Boss raiding regtl funds, or precise application of ABI. :lol:
