I agree. Because in one of my books I am reading.(informational book)It had a German carrying a SVT-40. The caption said that it was well wanted in the war by the German Troops.
I really enjoy shooting my SVT-40, and find it to be very reliable. However, as has already been mentioned, field stripping it can be a beast.
G43’s wre prone to breakage due to the high operating pressures of the gas system, this is the reason the Germans preferred the SVT-40 over the G43,much more reliable
i have a G43 DUV 44,a K43 AC45,and a SVT-40
the G 43 and K43 are fine weapons with newly manufactured gas system, just install the gas parts when going plinking, but am still very nervous while shooting them so they dont get out often
as for cleaning the SVT-40 it is a pain at first, but once you have done it enough its not that bad,try cleaning an Egyption Hakim sometime
was the tokarev the automatic carbine ? am i right ? i think it was good rifle , but it was used after 1942 if i am not mistaken . but is there anyone who can give the difference of the firing range of tokarev and the mosin-nagant ?
