The “girls” are in reality soldier of the SS Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler.

The SS soldiers were ordered to act as “chorus girls” in a movie with actress Zarah Leander “Die Grosse Liebe” (The Great Love)

It reminds me of what I’ve heard about a soldier of a contemporary British elite unit, who moonlighted by working as a callboy for other blokes.
From what I’ve heard, when it came out, the other soldiers of his unit never heard the end of it…

i think they are perfect example of german innovation. as for the kilt, to me wearing underwear defeats the purpose, but then again, scotland is kind of chilly isnt it?
