Clauss, Romanian Army from 1941 to 1944 fought not for Germany but against Soviet Union and from 1944 to 1945 fought against Germany together with Soviet Union. In both periods of time was about regaining back territories lost in 1940 to Soviet Union and to Hungary (backed by Germany and Italy)
Edited: In 1940, our tradittional allies were in a very bad condition:
Czechoslovakia (dissapeared in 1938), Poland (1939…), France (you know what happened) and The British Empire (Dunkirk…). So in 1940, due to Ribbenttrop-Molotov pact we were alone between 2 empires: 3rd Reich and Soviet Empire.
