WW2 WarCrimes

And indeed it is the Wiki, with all it’s attendant faults and errors.
Not always true cuts, first time comming on a ww2 forum that’s all i got from other member’s,wiki proofs shoved down my throat.
Yes i know internet proof is not 100% true but it’s something.
I thought the History channel was classed as attenant faults and errors and the wiki is the better choice:confused:
Sorry i’m confussed.

Dear heart, my previous submission is indeed 100% correct.

The Wiki is the Wiki, and as such cannot help but live with the inbuilt of having it’s content available for edit by any gentleman or lady who is depriving a village somewhere of it’s idiot.

That someone else has submitted links to the Wiki as ‘proof’ is of little import.
What one finds on those pages may well be correct, but without corroborative evidence from dependable sources it is of as much use as mammary glands on a mackerel.

I note in your comment to young RS that you “don’t belive [sic] in raping women.”

So by extension then, you do believe in raping men ?

1st question by Rising Sun - looks like you didn’t read well my post i was saying absolutely the opposite .
2nd - the possible benefit is that you spread terror and fear in the population of that country .
3rd - NCO is not a God for example the russian NCO didn’t prevent the russians to rape anyone ,as well some german NCO didn’t stop it too and so on .
4- butchery of armed opponent going to kill you is one thing , killing a women and children , raping , murdering unarmed opponents which are defenseless is butchery and not humane thing .
5- yes of course the soldier can do anything as he got a gun with himself and the other targets are defenseless , but if he did that no matter if he fought for great cause and if his relatives were killed by bombing he latter had to take the consequences of such behavior .
6- i know that the war and morale are two different and far things but after all we are humans isn’t it ? If we can’t stop the wars at least they have to be less devastating and more humane with some rules which defend the civil population more .
As for Ace Vantura well as a future lawyer i can tell you that doesn’t matter , the names of one act can be countless but that doesn’t change the fact of what was done and the criminal act done by someone .

I’m assuming rape in peace time and war time!
I don’t understand what you are trying to say.
Are you from SA ?

Have you been smoking your underwear ?
Do you understand what sort of crime rape is ?

Yes dear…
Now just you run along and make the brews, there’s a good girl.

This shows a typical lack of knowledge about rape. A man can be raped by a woman. There are many legal precedents for this, more common is rape of men by men. Neither are funny.

Then you can hardly expect others to understand you either dear heart.

Never mind.
You may get over it.

That is most definitely not the case AV, men can be, and are, raped.

Good to hear.

It does not get forgotten.
Not by the victim.
Not by the perpetrator.
Not by witnesses.
This is why when found we can prosecute rapists.

There is more written possibly because there may well be more murders.
However there tends to be more evidence in many murders than in many rapes.

I’m sorry I didn’t realise it was a secret.
Still, if you are a young lady the fact is now out in the open .

You should not be ashamed of your gender, it should make no difference to what you write, in fact in some cases it will stand you in better stead.

This idea of ‘respect’ - or as it often seems to be spelt, ‘rispek’ - seems to be some trans-atlantic phenomenon, originating in what the Cousins call ‘The Projects.’
It has at its base the assumption that certain people should be shown ‘rispek’ for no apparent reason. It is such a shame for those that espouse the idea that it has no basis whatsoever in the real world.
Respect is something that will come naturally to people when they earn it though their actions and deeds.
Do not expect everything to be handed to you on a plate, go and get it.
In these fora you will earn it by posting intelligently and thoughtfully, by showing good manners and not throwing tantrums.
Some people don’t understand this and think it should come from a virtual ‘rank’ dependent on the number of posts.
Poor lambs.

I hope this helps AV, have fun.

From my recollection, my uncle told me of his experience in Greece and of him and some others in his Royal Corps of Transport unit were to be shot on the orders of a higher authority than the officer commanding the unit that ‘officialy’ captured them. The reason for this was because my Uncle and others carried on destroying their vehicles after the official surrender and were thus treated as saboteurs. The German officer on the spot disappeared. Then a little later he came back and told his prisoners how lucky they were and in no uncertain words that they were ordered to be shot but that he “did not do such things” Thus my Uncle served the rest of the war in an Austrian POW camp (instead of eternity in a war grave in Greece) Coincidently with his brother who was also captured in Greece but with an Infantry unit. The other strange thing is that my Dad ‘their brother’ spent a few days in the same POW camp at the end of 1945 on his way home after fighting in Italy. the camp was being used as a sort of transit barracks for soldiers before being sent back to Blighty.
