in the events leading up to Pearl Harbour, there was a small recon sub that was blown out of the water by depth charges, could the smaller sub possibly be that same vessel? :?

A total of 6 midget submarines were sent by Japan to augment the air raid, they served in roles of both reconnaissance as well as attack subs should favorable situations for attack arised. All 6 were lost during the attack.
