Your favorite Music.

This video pretty much sums it up for me:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83_7bK8uvfw

Any and everything with Brad, Barry or Tom has my vote. Not a big fan of their last album though. The loss of Brad Delp is still hard to believe.

Other fav’s:

Roadmaster
Sweet
Steppenwolf
Beatles
Aerosmith
Led Zepplin
Amrosia
Kiss
Ace Frehley
Shooting Star

This list can go on, and on. I’m 48 years old and grew up on a steady diet of Top 40 rock, R&B, soul so I pretty much like anything rock oriented. Megadeth, Metallica, STP, etc., etc., etc.

Jeff

I was surprised to find out that the Van Halen brothers are Indos (mixed Dutch and Indonesian ethnicity) like my mother.

I remember seeing this group on Dutch TV while visiting Holland in 1979 and 1980. They were young children then and their parents were still alive. They were just getting their big break in music then. From what I’ve seen they were singing as group until about 2000, being very popular in the 1990’s. They have such marvelous voices.

I love RnB and old music 1940’s

You and my husband would get along, he has albums by a lot of those you mentioned. Personally I like swing music (new & old), Sinatra, Dean Martin, Martin Denny, Les Baxter, some 80’s pop, world music (like the Buddha Bar CD’s) and Scottish/Irish music (both modern & traditional).

Yup, both come from a musical family. Jan even played clarinet on a track from their “Diver Down” album.

Wagner (Panzerlied, Ride of the Valkries etc) anyone?

Great classical music

I usually listen to classic rock music Some of my faves

The Who

ELO

Bob Seeger

Fleetwood Mac

Lou Christie-a 60’s singer Very high voice

I like many music if its good

Jupiter from Holtz’s planet suite.

Reminds me of pleasant summer days in the English counrtyside, not unlike today.

I love the Motor city madman the one the only ted nugent

Engelandlied is pretty cool.

Well, that was certainly different.

This the more traditional version: picnics on the Downs, village cricket, leafy glades, and lying back in poppy and buttercup populated meadows enjoying the way the fluffy, white bits traverse the heavens with the odd high-altitude contrail criss-crossing the image.

My one time favourite was ‘Mars, bringer of war’ but I was so much older then I’m younger than that now.

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=6NeQ1h6lzLI&feature=related Bravo!

I wonder how many war-movie themes that piece has inspired? Gladiator springs to mind.

Böhse Onkelz - Tanz der Teufel

Can you translate that? I know thwt teufel is devil but nothing else.
Maybe I should try one of those Radio German courses:D.

Dance the Devil is the literal translation of the words (might mean something like dancing with the devil - my grammar is very rusty and was never too good in the first place).

Oh, and my personal favourite are 10,000 Maniacs (when Natalie Merchant was the lead singer).

Yes Major,Dance With The Devil

Too much music for any one instrumental, song or style to be a favourite to the exclusion of all others.

Here are some that are among my many favourites, including a disproportionate number of military ones for the sake of the site.

(Just for comparison, here is Chrissy Amphlett’s - the Divynls’ singer in the last clip - cousin, the lovely Little Pattie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYq8Erjieug with whom I was deeply in love in the mid 1960s, although she didn’t notice. Couldn’t afford her album, so we just used to go up to the record shop and look at the cover until the shop man told us to buy something or piss off. We always had to piss off.)
