An M4A3 (76mm) W HVSS of 11th Armored Division crosses the Muhl river in Austria, Spring 1945. A Dodge weapons carrier follows it and behind that an M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo.(rudeerude)

I am puzzled, wouldn’t the Jumbo be in the front of the column? I thought they were posted in the front as they could take a much bigger beating than the otehr Shermans, thus preventing the whole column be halted by an own knocked out tank.

Then again a 76mm gun would have the advantage if it got a shot of first as opposed to the 75.
