Hello,
Trying to locate information on possible Military or Pilot Training Airfields - specifically in operation the summer of 1941. They would have either been close to Owensboro, Kentucky or Big Sandy, Tennessee or somewhere in between for that matter.
Any help or suggestions of how to get this information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I clicked on the links to the US Navy activities - but I guess I’m trying to pinpoint it a bit and am now specifically looking for any information on what/which military was in Owensboro, KY in the summer of 1941. Any ideas?
My field of interest is US Naval Aviation, I am unaware of any USN facilities other than those which appear in the listing noted above. Simply from a lack of interest, I‘ve not a clue as to what the USAAF might have been doing in the vicinity of Owensboro Kentucky in 1941. I suppose, if it were an activity of any size it would appear buried somewhere in one of these below:
