Had a bird strike "Pelican" on leading edge of P-3C on take off from Ascension Island in 1979 used aluminum tape "1000 mile an hour tape" to repair 14in by 6in hole on leading edge. Flew for 3 weeks with hole between 3 & 4 engines.
