A sunny day at the Tennessee museum of aviation

My old pard Brando stopped by for a visit, and we decided to go see the Aviation Museum in Sevierville, Tn. Though its not very large, they do have a nice collection of planes and memorabilia. One attendant said that all of the prop drive planes are airworthy, but didnt know about the jets.

Cool pics…is that a mustang i see there and they say it can still fly?

Those are some beautiful planes, surely. I recently went to the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, TX., I’ll try to post some pictures of the planes located there.

That is a scale model of a P-51, its difficult to tell from the image, even being there it wasnt readily appearent. Its made of plastic.(according to the volunteer attendants) I dont know what the purpose of it was. They have a pair of P-47s they fly at regular intervals,I’ll look to see if I have pics of them. most, of the collection is owned by one man,and on the day I was there, a new addition flew in to take its place there, a Douglas A-1 Skyraider.(Posting pic of P-47)

Thanx for the pic. The p-51 looked so realistic from the photo.
