Airey Neave, Colditz escaper.
Lieutenant (later Major, later Member of Parliament) Airey Neave, DSO, OBE, MC, the first officer to make a successful escape from Colditz PoW facility when he reached Switzerland in 1942. Neave was subsequently recruited to the military intelligence service, where he served for the remainder of the war. Best regards, JR.
