At the moment there are 28 pages of guests,(458 of them) all of whom are looking at this thread in the archives. "German East Africa - World War I " I can’t imagine there is any legitimate reason for this volume of traffic on a single very old thread. Don’t know if its hackers, or weirdos hiding stuff in obscure archives, or just some goofy kind of scavenger hunt, but it bears investigation.

Procyon said the same thing was a likely cause for it, but I’ve never seen 450+ guests on a single thread before, at present there are far fewer of them. I had thought at the time, (around Mid-Night) that someone was attempting something along the lines of a denial of service hack. Anyway, hope it was nothing.
It does look unusual, but if you get a link from a busy website then that’s what happens.
