Hello, indonesia. I confess to knowing little about about a Indonesian national army dating back to WWII. I had thought most of the area started out as colonies of the Dutch, which would rule out a national Indonesian army. When the Japanese arrived in other Asian countries, they often succeeded in raising local armies, to stand united against Europeans – until the locals realized the Japanese wanted to drive the Europeans out so that THEY could take their place as overlords. Is the TKR one of these armies? Or is it a resistance/revolutionary army, or what, exactly?
