Anti-tank rifle team

Finnish anti-tank rifle team with Lahti L-39. 1941-1944

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.ww2incolor.com/gallery/finnish-forces/47501/anti-tank-rifle-team

There were maybe 6 different munitions produced for the L-39 by Finland, with Germany producing a fair number more.(in 20x138) It would just be good research to include the specific caliber,(113mm or 138 mm) since there were two possibilities during it’s term of deployment. It would be nice if we could get some fresh ammo over to the States, the old stuff is getting scarce.

I read that they were later on used as sniper killers (HE shells exploding close to the enemy would deal with him even if not hit directly) and also with some conversion as AA gun. Maybe some Finnish (or more knowledgeable member) could tell more on that?

Btw JR, I did not know that it could deal with KV tanks, interesting!
