I recommend “As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me”,by Joseph M. Bauer.It tells the story of “Clemens Forell” a German paratrooper who had an amazing escape from a Russian lead mine in 1949.Forrell eventually returned to Munich 3 years later.It is an amazing story,with many terrifying moments.“Clemens Forell” story is based on the true exploits of Cornelius Rost who was interviewed by Bauer in 1954 but did not want his real name mentioned as he feared reprisals from the KGB.A great read.
