I have six original aftermath photos depicting a horrific event in which I believe were taken in Japan during WWII due to the severity of the destruction shown in the photos. To me, they look like the aftermath in Hiroshima or Nagasaki, or another Japanese city hit with incendiary bombs. One photo shows a man whose clothes look singed off and a large US landing ship in the background (maybe LST). The destruction looks too great to have been done by a natural disaster. Anyone recognize any of the destroyed structures and where these photos were taken?
