Aus der traum = The dream is over
Battle of the Bulge. A German soldier (probably a Waffen-SS) is writing on an abandoned American cannon. He is armed with an M1 carbine which was a popular souvenir among the German soldiers ,so as the Luger P08 pistol among the American fellows.
