B-17 photos from 1945

Hi, all. I have questions…

Daddy was a pilot in 390th Bomb Group, 568th Squadron, out of Framlingham with 23 missions in B-17G from 02/14/1945 to 04/14/1945. I have the print out of the missions, the planes’ tail numbers/serial numbers, dates and targets, and I have found the names of most of them. I am wanting to get pictures of the planes he flew and can’ t find them, and don’t really know where to look. :rolleyes:Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kathy

Hi Kathy, and welcome to the forum.
Off the top of my head, the two best likely sources would be the USAF Museum photograph database, and the Imperial War Museum photo database.
As a suggestion, you might also leave a Private Message with Clave, a regular contributor here. Clave does graphic art images of WW2 aircraft, and may have some ideas as to sources you could research images from.

I hope this info helps, and wish you every success in your research Kathy.

Regards, Uyraell.

Here is a link for the 390th Memorial Museum site, to access the site you have to join with cash 25 bucks for descendants.Check the resources tab for info.Did you try googling the aircraft names ?Good luck
