I’m not saying this from experience(meaning military), but it’s amazing how quickly people can become calloused towards death.

I don’t think you ever get over the death of a btry/company trooper you served with. It’s always the question “Why Lt Whelan and not me”>? The enemy, I never then or now give the a second thought>! lee r
