GREAT! Thanks for sharing with us!!:army:

Love the picture of the lone M36 crossing a field…

Great photos…thanx.

Great oneliner! Certainly most true. Thanks, it made my day.

Thanks, Nickdfresh. Very good slide presentation. Reminds me of one of the best black and white movies, in my opinion, of that period. The movie,“Battleground”, came out around 1950, and I still have a copy of it.

I find it interesting that some of the same camouflage techniques are still used today!

very nice nick,. :),. ths for sharing

I find it curious that the current U.S. combat soldier more closely resembles the look of the assault rifle toting, camo-speckled, SS panzer-troopers - that were the opposition back then…

My dad was 506th.
I always wonder if he is one of the guys in Bastogne pics.
There is one with a guy in a Tiger 2 commanders hatch sure looks like him and my aunts agree.
Who knows?
Said he never changed clothes for over 30 days.
I have a 101 patch he wore then-it is completely blackened from dirt and grime.
Thought about donating it to the 101 Museum at Ft Campbell.
