This is so far from american pop/rock culture you can not really compare the two.
More like some ancient Scotish trubadurs…

More Ancient East European sorts. I have eclectic tastes in music, I do enjoy some of the selections you’ve posted. I used to (as a child) listen to the music played by my Paternal relatives who came from Croatia. A fusion of Croatian, and Ottoman Turk music. All very good. I will grant that the “Bad Piper” takes some getting used to.

As view count is 242 I would really like some feedback as to how average westerner views and compares 80s ex-yu rock to English original, especially the guitar masterpieces as vocals are presumably not understandable…

And btw. we have totally different tastes in music :(:(:frowning:

Not everyone likes the same thing, thats why there are so many different sorts of music in the World. I don’t care at all for Elvis,(Presley, not Costello) (link to Costello music https://youtu.be/VkhyJHsws1I )and like the Stones over the Beatles any day. I could never get into 70’s German pop music, too easy to understand the lyrics, in the U.S. lyrics should be difficult to understand. several folks I have talked to about music from Eastern Europe, pretty much say that the rock&roll there is just copied, but since the feeling of those playing it give it something new, thats the point of music, and though many said it’s all copied, they also understand that is a needed part of learning. They know that in time, a new music will emerge from the parents rock&roll, and the European growth in understanding it is the child that will come along and breathe it’s own life, cast its own shadow on the ground. I’ll give your selections a listen, and let you know how Baby is coming along.
