Why do you like these divisions though?

Anyone can wack up a list, have you any reasons to like them?

Uniform, their actions on the battlefield, funny stories, history…

You can’t just put up a list.

Oh, they can and they do - hence the parody of it in off-topic

Dani thanks for info ,i find good avatar in that page

Why are you posting them out of topic pictures mate  , they are freaking me out.

This is a tall order: What is the BEST out of the BEST panzer division?

Personally, I’m not sure. but I heard the 2nd ss destroyed 6000-8000 tanks during the war.

Really 8000 tanks? where did you get that information from mate ?

from more then one knowledgeable folk from feldgrau.com

He had a source for this claiming?

And a quote from http://www.achtungpanzer.com/wpzdiv.htm

In October of 1943, 2nd SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Division “Das Reich” was reorganized as 2nd SS Panzer Division “Das Reich”. From November of 1943, it saw service on the Eastern Front until it was moved to France to be refitted in February of 1944. From June of 1944, it saw in Normandy until it was virtually wiped out at Falaise Pocket in August of 1944. It was reorganized and in December of 1944, it took part in the Ardennes Offensive. In February of 1945, it was transferred to Hungary, ending the war in Prague, Czechoslovakia and Dresden in May of 1945.
End quote.

US WW2 heavy armoured division (according to wikipedia) had 158 M3/M5 light tanks, 232 M4 medium tanks, 24 M4 (105 mm), 17 M8 assault guns, 54 M7 105mm self-propelled artillery units, 54 M8 armored cars, 640 M3 halftracks, 1,242 motor vehicles, and 8 light observation aircraft. Personnel strength of the division was 14,664.

Soviet tank divisions had lower number. Please calculate how many divisions could be destroyed by 2nd SS division if they blow up no more than 8000 tanks!!!
