Napoleon had a famous victory at Piedmont

Yes at Marengo. Piedmont is a region north-west of Italy, the most of the border with France is proper of the Piedmont (Piemonte).
Every year there’s the reenactment of the Marengo battle! Fantastic it was told to me, but I’ve never been.
