Black Shirts
Black Shirts of the M battalion "IX Settembre" in a colorized picture originally b/w edited in Signal magazine. This unit for some months in late 1944 served in eastern Prussia alongside the Brandeburg division. The German divisional command requested this unit knowing his reliability from the times of a common garrison duty in southern France in 1943. Anyway the Italian legionaries preferred to defend their country rather than fight so far, and the unit was soon transeferred back to Italy. DVX
