Book Troubles (Japanese Equipment)

I have a few questions concerning some books I’d like to get…

I need some books on Japanese equipment, two books on amazon look quite similar.
Could someone tell me which is better?

  1. Japanese Aircraft of the Pacific War [Hardcover]
    Rene J. Francillon (Author)
  2. Japanese Aircraft, 1910-1941 (Putnam Aeronautical Books) [Hardcover]
Robert Mikesh (Author), Shorzoe Abe (Author)

and how can I get a copy of the Japanese magazine J-Tank.

Thanks

Rene Francillon did a fair amount of research, but some of his captions are questionable as to identity of the aircraft the pic may show.
The Mikesh/Abe book almost stops where the topic begins to get interesting.

That’s intresting but still which one would have the most reliable information. I’m guessing Rene Francillon.

Thanks again

Francillon will be adequate for most research.
I’d suggest the relevant Aero Series Publications monographs for detailed research-in-depth. These date from the late 1960’s through to the late 1970’s in publication dates.

You are very welcome to the information, I hope it is helpful.

Kind Regards, Uyraell.

Thanks a bunch and I will have a look at those Aero Series Publications (I may have some of them).

You’re most welcome.
Good Luck with your research.

Kind Regards, Uyraell.
