Bren Carrier

I know that there are a few active British army soldiers on this forum. Does anybody know the whereabouts of a Bren carrier in some training area (preferably in Germany), which is not too badly shot up? With complete I mean that the undercarriage (road and drive wheels, suspension, tracks and differential gear should be there, plus maybe the components of the steering mechanism, but the engine and main gear box can be missing. the bady can be damaged as well (I know how to weld and the engines and gear boxes are standard commercial items and are still available).
I’d like to restore one of these to operating condition.

You’ll be lucky, Walther. Bren carrier carcasses are like gold dust and I doubt if any will be lying around now. But the man to ask would be Von Poop over on WW2talk.com - he seems to be on the ball about these things.

There is one at Bovington.

What do you want it for Walther?

I will try to see what I can find in germany.

No universal carriers in Germany, that anyone is awre of.

Aparrently they weren’t really used for training areas, tanks were used instead.

You could try on here…
