British LVT/Buffalos 1943-1945

Searched about here briefly and found nothing on this subject. My core questions concern how many of the Brit owned Buffalo LVT vehicles were present in the UK for use in Op Neptune, and second who thought to use them for the landings on Walchern or Beveland latter in 1944?

Any refrences for this history of the vehicle in British use would be welcome, as will be any direct answers.

Thanks

All I have, is that they were used by the British Army in action at Westkapelle in the Walchheran landings, and Operation “Vasity” the crossing of the Rhine, and that it had a seven cylinder air cooled engine, given a maximum speed of 25 mph on land and 5.4 knots in water, and the British ones were armed with one 20mm cannon and two .5 in machine guns, up to 6.500 lb of cargo could be carried, and over 8.000 LVT 4s were made, all this info came with the kit I’m making, so I don’t think it will be of any good to you, but I tried, good luck
