British memories of WW2

The whole people’s war site on the BBC is cracking - should be required reading for all kids in school.

I can only speak for my daughter school but they were using the BBC peoples war pages as a major resource for their WW2 history module in year 6

Is this the one that was getting stick not so long back from some whining know-it-all, but which is actually a Very Good idea - if a little late in that so many people who lived through the era are now dead?
