My wife bought this for me yesterday. Didnt work too well on my PC, I guess I need a newer Graphics card. However, my Laptop is new and has a shiny Graphics card.
If you ever played Warhammer, its by the same people and plays much the same way.
Whilst in no way being a simulation game such as the immense Combat Mission series, it does have its merits and the graphics are good. Some real life tactics work too, as in HMG and Mortar support and pinning and flanking. Others though are just the same as all the other RTS WW2 games, with MG fire still being able to blow up tanks etc.
Worth a try of the Demo at least I think and since I was a fan of Warhammer I think its a pretty good game, for what it is, fun and simple to play with good graphics.
while one of my friends told me i had to buy this game because i have been a diehard COD fan (bought every game made for every system…) and back in the day was a huge fan of the AOE series and this is supose to be both combined… WW2 RTS, firefly when you get a chance to play it mind telling me how it is
Firefly what are you running for a video card in your machine?? Do you have PCI Express on the motherboard ? If you do I have a radeon x300 128mb video card for you .
I was thinking there was something wrong with the game but now that I think about it there are armor piercing mg rounds

I have a stupid Geforce FX550 with 256 Mb, but it doesnt seem to be very good. Anyway, the game runs OK on my Laptop and I have fixed it on the PC by turning all the specs way down.
The strange thing is that all other games work on my PC, its a fairly powerful AMD 64 beast.
Check if you have at least 512 MB RAM and also DirectX 9.1 installed on your PC.
Do not forget about the latest drivers from nvidia.
Latest Nvidia drivers not alway are the better then past for your video-card.
The reason could be in new grafic effects using in this game. If you had enought chip-memory (at least 512 or much better 1 Gb) , then just try to decreased the adjust of video: screensize or cut off the grafics effects (like Sheiders 2.1 and ets)
Yep, direct X 9c and latest drivers installed and I have 2 Gig of RAM, I really do think its my Graphics card.
I was going to buy a new one anyway, so may just do it sooner rather then later. Any suggestions fo one? Should I go Geforce again or try a diffrent kind this time?

o and my parents bought it because my pc got old and everyone knows what happens if its 8 years old and a 15 year old kid knws more about it than my parents…
anyways i just bought this game or my parents got it for me because i upgraded the pc and fixed it for them, but great game graphics arn’t very good close up but as you can see in guts screenies it looks good from a ways away… reat game play hard to tell its a rts other than th fact thats its not an fps and you are above your troops instead of in one
I have now completed it and it was OK. It has one of the basic problems of this type of game in that being resorse based there is no reall tactical problem solving. If you biuld lots of troops and rush and they all die you can always get more. The mortars are one o fhte most usefull units. The Sherman seem teo be very strong and the panzershreck is excelent at killing german tank, so pick up any you find lying around. The unit capasity can be a pain as tanks take up a large number of slots. The pack 75? Is better than the 57 as it has a wider arc of fire.
I would like to do the campain from the german side now but all that is left is to re-do the US at harder levels. Over all not bad and getting Dof W freee was good but I have it already. Am now waiting for the new DofW.
