Cross of Honor for mothers

German mother is awarded the Cross of Honor of the German Mother (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter, or simply, Mutterkreuz). It was a state decoration and civil order of merit conferred by the government of the German Reich to honor a Reichsdeutsche German mother for exceptional merit to the German nation. The decoration is a neck order and thus is worn around the neck on its accompanying narrow blue and white ribbon.
