I have recently come across my grandfather’s m1926 that he was given from one of his buddies who was wounded on Utah beach and who later died. I’ve been looking for it for quite awhile. Anyway, here is my question/problem. This belt originally had some type of slider/adjustable clip or some such on the end opposite where the CO2 cartridges go, but on my belt, it is missing. Does anyone have one, or know where I might even begin looking to find one? I’ve tried eBay, search engines, and so forth, and I am finding out that this item is very hard to locate. I am a WWII reenactor, and though I don’t ever plan on actually using this life belt, I would like to have it complete as part of my Normandy display.
