Sad pic… It reminds me of the pic of the dead US MG gunner taken by Capa in 1945 (it’s even more pointless to die when the war is about to be over). He really has a weird posture (with his left hand on his hip). Is the rifle a G43?
I believe it is. He looks oddly posed, though, doesn’t he? The hand on his hip, leaning on his empty gun with his shoulder. Also, if you look closely, it looks as if there are two holes in his helmet.
