DKM tirpitz 1:350 Kaiser Wilhelm canal, 12 january 1942.

I didnt know where to put this topic, so i put it here…
well, as u know, one of my hobbies is building scale models of ships and tanks from ww2 (mostly axis  ), so this is my latest work and i want to share it with you… it took my 3-4 months to create this, and it’s not finished yet… - measures of the whole thing (diorama) is 100x60 cm and the Tirpitz is 70 cm long
hope u like it

That’s fantastic! I’d like to know how you did the water?

i did it with crystal resin (about 1,7 L   ) wich i colored with enamel paints… are u perhaps modeler? no?

I build models for war games, the only attempt at water I have made was using vanish to create a river on a gaming board. I quite fancy making a diorama myself.

well another method of making water is gel wax , cheaper but it is more sensitive than resin…
u can also build your diorama on glass surface, and there where you want water, just do’t build over it, but this method is not very good
if you want, i’ll put more of my works

Yes please that is excellent. Show us some armour.
