I’ve just awarded 5 never-expiring infraction points to spammer wowgold2008 who got the same from Nick in May, but who can still log on and post.

What exactly does 5 infraction points stop a spammer doing?
Do I need to refer this poster to FF for banning, or is there a way I can do it?
He can still log in and post, but only admins can see the spam! It’s part of the funky new spam system, if they’ve got an icon of a person with a white cross/red circle superimposed then they’re being autodeleted as spam. I think it still lets us see it in case a mistake was made, but they aren’t being seen by users. Oh, and they’re also being autosubmitted to a web spam service, so if they try to spam other forums with the same stuff should be caught there too automatically.
