I recently bought a reproduction Dot44 from 1944 militaria, although I’m pleased with the suit I was wondering, as I’ve never actually seen an original, how close to the original design, pattern and colours their suits are? They are one of the recomended suppliers for the re-enacting group i belong to, so i didn’t really consider asking this question before i bought the suit.:roll:
The 1944 Militaria pattern is very close to the original, its as far as you will get besides Zeugmeisterei. Hope this helps.
The 1944 militaria product I believe is made by SMwholesale. The herringbone weave linen fabric is nearly perfect and the latest print added the bright pea green that was missing from their first versions. very nice product!
