"Eichmann"

“Eichmann”, a British-Hungarian co-production about Adolf Eichmann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Eichmann), his activities in the Third Reich, his kidnapping by the Mossad and mainly his interrogation in Israel.

Movie is already released on DVD in most of Europe, the US in October.

I just watched it, it’s not a classic but still worth a look.

I have this in my collection.
I agree that it is not a classic but has some good info on the man himself.

Isn’t this another movie with Thomas Kretscman in it. A terrific actor, seems to be typecast as a Nazi.

Yes, he’s playing Adolf Eichmann. However he does not necessarily typecast a Nazi but Germans in WW2 in general (no surprise regarding ze äkzent). He did play bad guys in “Eichmann”, “Downfall” (as Hermann Fegelein) and “Valkyrie” (as Otto Ernst Remer), not so much in “The Pianist” and “Stalingrad”.
I’ve never seen U-571 and “In Enemy Hands” though…

Your right,he doesn’t alway’s play the Nazi,JUST A German officer. I guess he is making a good living for himself lol.

He was very good in his brief but effective role in The Pianist. A bad guy in U-571. I haven’t had a chance to see Stalingrad or In Enemy Hands.

I agree that he plays his roles very well. Do yourself a favour and watch U-571 and Stalingrad. Very good movies.

U-571 got some really bad reviews,I did however enjoy it,I’m no movie expert lol. I do want to check out Stalingrad, sounds really good.

Check it out, certainly one of the better German modern movies.

Yes they said that U-571 lacked authenticity when it came to the facts.
Still a good movie though.

This movie was indeed worth watching.Thomas Kretschmann is a great actor.I thought he played the part of Hermann Feigeline in Downfall very well.
