Here is an interesting tidbit I learned from Pork Chop Hill by S.L.A. Marshal.
According to him Ethiopia was the only country involved in the Korean War that had left with 100% accountability of there men. All casualties were recovered.

Casualties (122 dead and 566 wounded)
Ethiopia furnished three 1,200-man battalions to the UN Command, beginning in June 1951 but only one battalion at a time. The first of these battalions — known as Kagnew (Conquerors) Battalions — arrived in May 1951 and was assigned to the U.S. 7th Infantry Division.

It is amazing to read about some of their patrols. They also had a 95% illiteracy rate and most of them couldn’t even read a map.
