Film Writers: Looking for Information

Hello,

I’m currently working on writing a film with a couple of WWII history buffs / re-enactors. The film is going to be surrounding a main character who is going to be WWII War Photographer, and I need to know some information about their process, what they shot with, how they developed, what standard issue equipment to them would have been, etc. I’m basically at the beginning of this project right now with everyone, but I want to start getting some research done now.

I think this film could be a really interesting and new aspect to World War II films, and right now any and all information would be great and helpful.

I read a very good and comprehensive book on American war photographers some years ago but I can’t recall the title. Thanks to Google, this turns up http://www.amazon.com/Armed-Cameras-Peter-Maslowski/dp/0684863987 and is probably the book I read.

I also read an autobiographical account by a British film cameraman who served in WWII, but that was probably in the 1960s or 1970s and I can’t recall anything about it to help you track it down apart from it probably being a Pan paperback.
