Fuel-air bombs

The Germans is stated to have used fuel-air bombs (perhaps called propane-gas bombs) during their offensive in Crimea in 1942, and then stopped using them, when the British accused them of using chemical weapons (with a remark from Hitler on this note: " …there´s so many elements that insures German victory in this war, that we can do not need to use these weapons").

The source was published late 1945, in a 1939-45 history book, and I have never heard anything about it anywhere else. Do anyboy here know anything about German fuel-air weapons (or the like)?

A little info on Dr. Mario Zippermayr who created a similar bomb, might help.

There is no date of death stated. Should this guy be 109 years old?
I gotta try that artificial mountain climate as well.

Didn’t notice that…note to self: fountain of youth=Austria
