The gun is a French Canon de 105 L mle. 1936 Schneider (German designation 10.5 cm. K 331 (f)). The L/37.4 length barrel fired a 15.74 kilogram shell to a maximum of 12,000 meters. They were originally Maginot Line fortress guns and also used along the Atlantic coast.
