German = ‘Smaragd nixe’
Internet translators tell me that smaragd is emerald and nixe is mermaid.
So, does ‘smaragd nixe’ mean in English an ‘emerald mermaid’?
Jup, these translators work fine these days.
Mermaid is ‘Seejungfer’ or ‘Nixe,’ both fem.
‘Smaragd’ is the noun for emerald, masc. The adj. for the color emerald is ‘smaragdgrün.’’
What the two words together signify, I know not. Someone else here may.
