This I can say about the VS-8:
it was a hydrofoil with lowered rear decking to acomadate a panzerII or a 38(t) it would have flooded its rear deck and the tank would have had pontoons or somthing and it would go merrily away. It was intended as a re-supply ship for Rommel in North Africa.
