hallo all
i am building a kit by academy of one of the versions included in the kit and precisely
TIGER I n.123 of the 502nd.abt. in or near Leningrad Russia 1942
it is in 1/35 scale and the ref.n.of the kit is 13861 it features;
a panzer grey overall paint scheme
a small logo of a white mammuth
it has turret numbers 123 in an unusual yellow colour with black outlines
so i would like to know the following;
Is this tiger colour scheme,logo,and numbers colour correct for the time period it is suppuse to depict?
was this tiger one of the 502abt. involved in the tiger debut in Mga near leningrad 1942?
pleas help
regards
stefano

i have no photo only a b/w drawing from instructions showing an overall panzer grey colour scheme

I’ve seen a photo of one of the first Tigers of 502 once and it was indeed painted in the typical “Panzer-grau”. The tank was used by 1st company’s commander, so the turret number was 100.
