This is a fantastic book by John Keith K. Wells. Lt. John Keith Wells USMCR commanded the most decorated Infantry Platoon to come out of a single engagement in the history of the United States as Platoon Leader of the 3rd Platoon, Easy Company, 28th Marines, 5th Marine Division. The book details actions on Iwo Jima and while reading it you may (at least I did) question the validity of some of what he writes. At points it seems too amazing, however if you read IWO by Richard Wheeler, who writes about Wells you see that none of its exaggeration! Wells really was that amazing! I highly recommend both books! Give me 50 Marines not Afraid to Die is an amazing book written by and extraordinary man!
